Shurikens shoot out of frame when cursor is over character

I am actually not sure if this is a bug or by design, but the rogue’s Shurikens throw seems to arc higher as your cursor comes closer to your character, but still hits enemies. At the point where you are throwing and the cursor is directly on top of your character, however, the Shurikens shoot out of screen (dimentionally in the z axis), and are unable to hit anything.

This is a know interaction because your mouse cursor is used as a indicator for where the ability should be thrown. That allows for wonky stuff to happen if you hover exactly over your character.
