In areas, like the one where you have to search for the Grand College in the imperial era, that possess thin walls, the backflip skill component of Shurikens is able to get you out of bounds but not enough to get you back in. I should’ve taken a screenshot but I should be able to reproduce it later.

Hey… Welcome to the forums…
There are quite a few places where you can flip, shift, lunge etc into a dead end or off map location (check the Bug section - there are lots of posts with a title Stuck).
If you can reproduce it, please post a screenshot with the map visible so that the level editors at EHG can find the place and fix it.
