I think it increases as you level. I got a shrine of wealth dropping piles of ~50 when I was around level 45.
Piles of 50 when gambling goes over 2000 is still a joke. There needs to be a balance of prices or of gold drops, considering selling items for 20 gold per item is tedious and boring. As a player I want to be excited to see this shrine, right now I skip it as it isn’t worth the time to hit it and run around to pick up the gold. At a minimum it needs to be dropping 50 at low levels and 1000s at high levels if gambling is going to cost 2000+ per item at higher levels.
When you’re doing monoliths at high level the gold starts dropping at higher and higher rates. I’ve earned 5-6k per monolith around the 60s, and it’ll only go higher from there. By the time you’re in your 90s you likely will be complaining about not having a proper gold sync like many dedicated testers are. When I stated level ~45, you have to remember that’s nowhere near endgame, and gambling is an endgame focused activity at the moment.
As it should. You aren’t telling me what that has to do with the shine being a joke. Compared to pricing, it isn’t worth the time.
Gambling being a end-game activity is a separate issue I’m willing to discuss in another thread. I disagree with you, as it helps immensely during the leveling process.

My point was that the gold gained from shrine of wealth likely scales like monoliths do. I wasn’t clear about that in my previous statement, sorry. If it does scale then it’s much less of an issue.
Similarly, whenever I open a golden chest and only 2 gold falls out; I want to cry a little. 
Some of the shrines are a little bit underwhelming. I agree, shrine of wealth should drop an immense amount of money. Could be even a bit rarer to find. But it should feel like “Yeah Baby!!”
Also the duration of the companion shrine with the ice beetle is not that great. Should at least endure 2x the time it is right now. Or even let it follow you until you or the beetle dies or you log out.
The buff shrines are ok, imho. The effects are nice. Perhaps the duration could be 20% longer.
