Shield rush does not cancel when the key is released - beta server

It’s my first paladin so I do not know if this is also a problem on the main servers.

Shield rush does not stop unless you hit something substantial, and can take you a very long distance. Smaller mobs are not enough, it must be a larger mob or a wall.

Using another skill does not interrupt the rush. In one case I was stuck in a never ending rush and retreat (bounce back) and the only way to stop it was to log out.

There’s a known issue if you tap a channelled skill it doesn’t stop channelling but that doesn’t sound like what’s happening here.

Could you upload your game log and what time/timezone did this occur in?

This seems to have resolved itself, at least for me. It doesn’t work with a 2 hand staff, but is that working as intended - i.e. no shield, no shield rush? I had issues with 2 targeted skills that were not working at all, smite and lunge, but according to chat the devs are aware of them. They also resolved for me when I logged out and back in.

I will try to attach the logs from a play session completing the demo with 2 friends where lunge and smite were not working, plus after logging when things worked (except the 2-handed shield rush).

There’s a node that allows you to not need a shield equipped, but yes, the skill states that it requires a shield equipped otherwise.
