Shatter Strike Spellblade Frost Claw Aura Proccer Starter Build [Very Strong, 1.2, YouTube, Loot Filter]

I’m very excited for the new league and I theory crafted a Spellblade that uses Shatter Strike as its main skill, and ends up proccing Frost Claw, other spells/effects, and tons of Fire Auras (which get converted over to Freezing Auras).

The build does not require any unique or set items. It’s can be done SSF and is very strong – both tanky and DPS-wise. I’ve released customized loot filters for the build, to help new players. I will post YouTube videos periodically on my progress and findings.

Those are ideal affixes to shoot for, but that gear is unrealistic and unnecessary. The build performs well with T4/5/6 in the end-game without issue.

Feel free to ask questions here or leave feedback. Same with YouTube. I’ll check up on this thread every new update to post.

You will need Mana Strike with this build, at least until you have good gear. This build chews through a TON of mana, but the damage is insane – so your masteries/specialization should be in order Mana Strike, Shatter Strike, Frost Claw, Flame Shield, then Enchant Weapon.

Itemization: You do not need T7 affixes at all. I only put them on there for “ideal stats.” T4/5/6 is perfectly fine.

Itemization (Theory Craft) notes: The original theory craft included items with many T7 affixes and was unrealistic. I only did that as a way to include “ideal affixes” – but they are unnecessary and unrealistic for most players, including myself.

I did not include any exalted items in the updated theory craft build, only rares, so new players are not overwhelmed. This build does not need those affixes or items exactly to perform well, and can make do with what you pick up as long as it helps the character. Ideally, you would want to get exalted versions of the rare items listed, with the highest tier affixes you can find. This build does not require or use any chase items, uniques or set items.
