Shards are (not) items

I keep hearing from devs, that shards cannot be picked up and/or transferred to forge automatically, because they are less of shards and more like items. I don’t agree, but if you say so, you should

  • Allow to apply loot filter to shards, so that a useless shards doesn’t attract attention
  • Make them tradable, opening up new farming strategies = ways to play a game = variety = fun

Now we only have this weird duality and excuses, where looting shards is worse than both items and gold.
Same applies to keys, I would gladly filter out arena keys, or send them to storage with a button, or send them to separate tab using stash affinities, or trade them, or (the least likely scenario) don’t feel bad for running arena. Seem that none of that options will be available (except maybe affinities after a few patches).
Btw transfer materials button could be a least bindable to a key. Making a unconditionally good button will make players want to automate the clicking by complaining on forums or using macros.
