Shadow Cascade with Crushing Darkness attacks faster with slower weapons

Tree being used: Bladedancer, Level 100 (LE Beta 0.9.0) - Last Epoch Build Planner

Swapping my 1.2 APS swords for a Pick Hammer (0.94 APS) in main hand and Kris (1.1 APS) in offhand increases the attack speed so much that it’s noticeable just looking at it.
