The daggers thrown by the dagger dance node have very different values from base shadow cascade and this is not communicated anywhere on the description of the node which could lead people to assume the values are the same.
The values for shadow cascade are 10% base crit, 200% added effectiveneess, 20 base phys.
Dagger dance instead has 5% base crit, 120% added effectiveness, and 24 base phys.
The difference in base crit in particular makes it fairly hard to use both the melee and throwing attack at the same time.
