I love the new update being able to make shards out of set items. However. I’d love to see the identity of these set items and their graphics be preserved.
An idea for this would be that crafting a set bonus onto an item, could re-skin it to the set item, this way, unique set pieces, and their artwork could be kept relevant and not just be something that was stored in your stash till you could pulverise it. I would much rather have a special look for my sword or shield that was influenced by the affixes on it than it looking like yet another regular sword.
