Does that mean offline works or do you require a connection on steam to play offline?

Steam needs to be online for the game to start and connect. Then click “play offline”. But found funny that i got a login error when selecting “play offline”.
Please see screenshot if you are experiencing difficulty playing offline.
I really need for the game to pause, I play while at work and when a customer comes in 99% I’m dead :<

You should probably play true-offline mode, if you can only play while working.
There you can pause.

So, google is incorrect then? I also used another online calculator > both say 12 CDT is one hour ahead my time zone which is 11 AM here. So yeah : the maintainance info is incorrect as it has surpassed the posted completion time by an hour now
Nope. It’s precisely correct, and servers got back up just precisely 5 minutes ago.
Maybe there’s DST info missing there on your sources.
It’s been 6mins since the posted end of the downtime. Not an hour.
