apparently if the server lags, it will just kill your character outright for no reason.
in my current area, I could have literally beat the arena while completely AFK.
enter disconnecting or server aneurism or whatever, and suddenly I am dead.
one thing I noticed is after the weird lag spike ended it showed my debuffs containing like 99 stacks of armor shredding for a second as if it just ran enemy attacks through a loop arbitrarily without calculating anything else. That’s cool, except even with 99 stacks of armor shred I wouldn’t have died in there. It seems to me that whatever is going on here is just a vague approximation of actual combat calculation as if it were trying to catch up by skipping all the relevant details, such as the fact my entire character was built around ward regen and resists. Starting to seem like a lot of current problems boil down to the game ignoring stats.
