Server issue thoughts, which you wont allow me to post in the discord

Then your reading comprehension is just bad.
Not my fault.
I did speak out against threats and bad behavior against developers but I guess you only bothered to read the bit you wanted to reply to.
And yes, It was way out of context as my C/NK reference was about censoring not about which servers are performing better.

Having your post deleted in an online forum, or your message deleted in an online chat is a far cry from what those countries go through, though. It’s still an out of place comparison.

considering the tencent connection I think it’s a fair comparison. sorry.
Censoring is very obviously a thing here.

Is it really a fair comparison? Have the devs sent shock troops in your house to take you and your family to a dungeon where no one ever hears from you again? Are they monitoring conversations you have outside these media? Are your friends reporting you for having unpatriotic feelings?

No matter how you try to frame it, having posts deleted online is nowhere near the level of a dictatorship censoring. I’m pretty sure if someone from those countries saw what you wrote they’d probably feel offended of you minimizing their issues just so you can say bad things about a game.

Im getting the feeling you’re the type that propagates censorship in non gaming topics, so I won’t bother.

I’m actually against all kinds of censorship, but I can see you’re the kind of person that when doesn’t have arguments just procedes to insult, so I won’t bother.

Which insult?

Buddy stop thinking you have any right to have an opinion on someone else’s experience that they have paid money out of their pocket for. Shills like you make it ok for the industry to continue disrespecting our money and our time. If I pay money for a service at a specific time I expect what the agreement says period. This company has breached the agreement with every player to date. Stop being an enabler of this behavior or at least stfu when people are voicing a complaint that is valid!!

Your type of comment is exactly what I was talking about.

I don’t feel like they breached the agreement with me. I was able to play online on all 3 days since the launch. Had some issues here and there, but no biggie. I understand that many others have not had the same experience as me, but I also know I’m not the one random guy that was able to play. It seems many others have as well.

Anyways, it feels two me that in the arguments over this game there are 2 camps:

(1) Those who feel that bad launches like this represent some moral failing like greed or laziness on the parts of dev’s and game companies, and that if consumers raise enough hell at any game that doesn’t launch smoothly, then in the future eventually the game devs/companies will stop being greedy or lazy and will consistently launch online games smoothly.

(2) Those who think that, given how common disastrous online launches are for companies both big and small, with the arguable exception of D4, that perhaps it’s close to impossible even for well-intentioned and hardworking devs to catch every error in their game/server architecture that might lead to disastrous results on a massive launch, and that launch issues are simply a necessary part of the process for a massive online game to get up and running.

I’m in the latter camp. While I can’t blame people for dumping this game if they experienced several days of not being able to play online, I also trust the devs that they really did all that they reasonably thought they could to prepare, and are now doing their best to fix things (and are making some progress). I think this game is already fantastic, and I would really like to see it continue to grow and keep evolving many years into the future.

I support your position as it is your own, which is exactly the point to the shills in here!

Bye. Thanks for freeing up space for me to play

another one proving my point. thank you.

this is getting ridiculous please stop.

I can understand your frustration with the game’s launch. But do you think venting your anger towards the devs in a less than constructive manner will serve any purpose besides calming your hurt ego?

The devs need their focus and mental fortitude to work towards a solution. It’s hard to keep the spirits (and productivity) high during times like this. Exposing the devs to all the negativity will make things worse.

Just look at Vendettaa - he claims he just stated the truth about launch day, but in another threat he said he called the devs incompetent on their discord. The truth is that the launch went bad. Commenting negatively on the competence of the devs is just throwing insults.

I agree, day 4 and cant log in - thats just about beyond the launch day issues time window for me. If we have 5 days of issues that impede the allotted out gaming session time I make for myself, then to me it would seem like these guys werent ready to charge money for the game.
