I frequently grind ARPGs with most game sounds muted and listening to youtube or other background, as the in-game music doesn’t provide much mutation for the 10s or 100s of hours i’ll spend playing the same game. And the sound effects of a single build will grow stale over time. However, the most relevant sound effect that I’d care about long term would be high quality loot drops. Right now they seem to be tied to the “Sound Effects Volume” channel along with abilities, combat, breakables, and other actionable sounds. Could “Loot Drops Volume” be separated out, so I could mute combat but still get an audio queue if loot drops off-screen?

Same here! While I do like and enjoy the new additions with the patch from earlier today, I must say I would very much appreciate the option to change the volume of loot dropping. Not being able to change what type of loot plays what sound is alright so far but having it at an almost “set value” depending on how high the whole sound effects are is unfortunate.
I personally enjoy hearing my character smash stuff over and over and over but still would like to tune that sound a bit down and emphasize on loot drops!
Especially for exalted items since my Echo Warpath VK kills stuff off-screen as well all the time.
Cheers~
