Since Hammer and Anvil’s description doesn’t say anything about requiring a direct use of a throw attack I assumed Sentinel’s Axe Thrower perk would be able to trigger it and make it switch between Hammer and Anvil Stance. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case. I tested Hammer Throw and Javelin. They toggle the stances as expected.
For reference, Hammer and Anvil’s prerequisite Shield Breaker triggers just fine with Axe Thrower and applies the shred stacks.
