Sentinel’s Void Cleave skill Obliterator node and Gambler's Fallacy unique amulet

Sentinel’s Void Cleave skill Obliterator node says that next Erasing Strike is guaranteed to be a critical strike. But, if you are under negative effect of Gambler’s Fallacy (50% less crit chance) then it is applied to Erasing Strike and criticall strike is not guaranteed anymore.

How it works right now:

  • Use Void Cleave (with Obliterator node).
  • Void Cleave critically strikes (since we have Gambler’s Fallacy equipped).
  • Use Erasing Strike.
  • Erasing Strike may crit.

How i expected it to work:

  • Use Void Cleave (with Obliterator node).
  • Void Cleave critically strikes (since we have Gambler’s Fallacy equipped).
  • Use Erasing Strike.
  • Erasing Strike critically strikes (because we taken Obliterator node in Void Cleave and used Void Cleave before using Erasing Strike) despite less than 4 seconds passed since we critically striked with Void Cleave.

Interesting “bug”…

I wonder how the Devs view priority of stats in this regard… What takes priority - the Skill node or the Affix on Gear… I dont recall the devs specifically mentioning this in the past - @Llama8 any ideas?

Makes me wonder if this is not something that is happening on other skills/gear combinations that just havent been noticed yet…

They have said which one of “always” & “never” takes precedence but I can’t remember unfortunately.

Maybe the unofficial Epoch Lorekeeper @AndrewTilley remembers from one of his dusty old tomes?

Unfortunately, like Llama, I also can’t recall the source, nor could I find it. I have a vague memory of it, but I wouldn’t be able to say which takes precedence with utmost certainty.
