Wow, these all look so good. You guys really stepped up your MTX game. I think this is by far the best iteration of a “Black Hood with nothing inside” MTX I have seen out of any similar game. Hopefully that looks good on Mage or Acolyte as well.

When seeing these I wish you could revisit and revise some of the old MTX. Some of the old mtx have great concepts and ideas, but simply look very low budget.

God I was hoping for some armor to match the dread helm at some point. It looks pretty cool but it just doesn’t match anything.

looks good, I’ll have to figure out where to spend my points from the supporter packs!

I like a lot those, I’m not a super fan of the “Gilded” stuff, but I’m sure others are. The “Wraith lord” stuff is awesome, the execution helm is sick!

I would love for EHG to drop more skill MTX’s into Season 4, if other ones are close to finish. I would prefer not to wait another 5 months or more if we don’t have to

Keep cooking!!!

It’s great, but man I wish the companion wolf applied to summon wolf/squirrels

I can’t help but think that having “hype week” so soon before release was not a good idea - IMO, ideally EHG would get excitement about the game to build up and culminate with the season’s release, as opposed to this lull between the “hype week” and season start. Maybe things like this post (announcing cosmetics) would have worked better between the announcements of “hype week”, so we would have had two “hype weeks”.

Some great ones here. Can we get more like the “dragon” set which has a more natural look vice the Final Fantasy look?

I agree, it feels odd. On top of that with basically everything getting to be public knowledge in terms of skilsl and items with LEtools being updated togehter with patch notes it feels wrong. I think having patch notes a few days before launch is fine, but there needs to be more things to keep people excited leading up to launch day.

And the whole databse/letools update should not happen until a few days after the patch. It takes out all the excitment of discovering some new cool items, when everybody knows them already by looking into a website before the patch even dropped.

Congratulations to the graphic designers. Those new cosmetics look great!

So all the data coming out feels bad

But having the patch notes (which contains all the data) come out a few days before is good.

These two things cannot both be true.

Strong disagree, especially if you want the patch notes out early it just feels like you don’t want others to be able to work on builds in the first few days or before the league start which feels a bit unreasonable given you’ve had a lot of time yo do that yourself.

If people don’t have the self control to avoid spoilers, that’s a them issue. I didn’t bitch about Stranger Things spoilers despite being late to the last season, I just didn’t watch/read the spoilers.

That is simply untrue. Patch notes do not contain all the data, specifically items and in this patches case new corrupted affixes.

Patch Notes are enough to somewhat preplan what you want to do. And having a few days for that is fine. You do not need to know every sin gle new thing there is to plan a build.

I strongly dislike being able to plan around new items or affixes that we should not even know in the first place. A loot driven game that spoils all the new stuff already before the patch even goes live. Its just disheartning.

It just changes how the community can and will interact with the game, whether you personally like it or not.

New items and affixes pop up in discussions, people don’t even think about that talking about some items that are “new” were only knowledge because of these external tool updates.

Its fine to give some juicy spoilers during hype week and a few teasers during the trailers and promotional material. But having all 130+ Corrupted Affixes and 20+ Unique/Set Items and 10x corrupted base type be knowledge before the patch even hits live is just wrong.

No other game is doing that and I am still nto sure why or when LE started with this. But it disappoints me every time.

Fair enough, but a lot of people do, Path of Building is an example of this.

I can get behind not having LE Tools updated before the patch hits, but IMO it should be updated as soon as the patch hits, but they should be updated as soon as the patch hits & the servers are back up, at that point all the new shiny is in the wild. If you don’t want people to discuss the new shiny so it doesn’t impact the enjoyment that some may get (& don’t forget, an equally undefinable amount of people enjoy planning their builds), you can’t let legacy/standard players access the new shiny at the same time, which for the moment, they can.

Yeah, I think it was 1-2 patches ago?

Why do you bring up PoB/PoE up in this example? It literally deos what I want lol so you just weakend your argument. PoE never spoiled items and many new things except what we see in promotial materials and the livestream they do before patches, but that is usally only a handful of things and not exhaustive.

It really feels like we are talking past each other. I do loooove planning my builds same as many many other. But I still DO NOT want to know absolutely everything and frankly you don’t need to know absolutely everything to plan a build.

I also loove when people discuss new things they discover or stumble upon. But with how the timing is right now it just feels weird.

We have 5 days of hypeweek with interesting infos about the new content and mechanics and some items/affixes teasered, which all lead into patch notes and then getting literally ALL the info on a 3rd party website. Then there is basically a week of nothing before the patch even goes live.

I think between patch notes and the patch going live there should be more spoilers and keep people interested with little tid bits, but not reveals absolutely everything.

These look better and better with each new season coming out was hoping to see something new for glacier… but still the new flay cosmetic is looking insane

I’ve been a fan of the cosmic and cherry blossom line of effects, and these new fractures look great too. Grave pursuit is going on every necro from here on out.

The fractured helm’s animation looks very cool, but I’m glad we’ve also got a more low key option with the shadowed mask.

Then you didn’t understand what I was saying. You said you don’t like that LE tools being updated prior to the patch being released, which is fair, but also that you don’t want LE tools to be updated until a few days after the patch drops, but apparently you’re ok with PoB being updated as soon as PoE’s league drops?

Yeah, and as I said:

Then maybe you shouldn’t be in the CT. That alone casts your comments in a very different light.

I guess you don’t need to know the passives stats, threshold values, item stats, skill nodes stats if you want yo plan a build, silly me, I must be doing it wrong.

And the only way to have that is to not have LE tools or a planner at all. Otherwise the discovery is pushed back to whatever point the build planner is updated.

Yeah, that’s fair, IMO hype week should lead up to the patch notes the day before the patch is released.

But PoB is never updated when the league drops, nto at all, it always takes a few days. Because like in any other similar game the community/devs of the tools get access to the info/data when the patch drops and not before. (Except some things like loot filter and some gem infos etc.

Me being a CT or not is completely irrelevant. I am talking how I like things like this handled in ARPG’s in general, not LE specifically. (In fact being a CT is actuall a burden on myself with how I like ARPG’s to be played and discovered, so much so that I thought about quitting many times)

People do things differently, but you do not need every single stats precicely to have a solid layed out build to be planned for starting the league. While some people prefer to have that and that is fair, they do not NEED this at all to make a proper, working and functioning build.

Nope, when there are new uniques or new cool “hidden” things discovered they get shared across gaming communities, friend groups, reddit, forums, youtube etc. you don’t need planner tools for that.

According to google, the passive tree is updated 1-3 days before league start once GGG release the patch notes & gems/gear shortly before league start.

It’s not, because you know all of the stuff in the new season when it’s added to the CT branch, which is several months before the start of the league. So you saying that you don’t like it that everybody else knows a few days before league start feels a bit off.

PoB consists of many many different things, the passive tree is only one of them and it is occasionally updated once the JSON file is release with depending on if we are talking PoE1 or PoE2 sometimes didn’t happen at all and they needed to wait until the patch dropped. If GGG releases the JSON file it usually drops a few days before the patch. But the passive tree is not even the main part I am talking about. New items are not revealed until somebody drops them or they are datamiend and updated in 3rd party tools.

It does not, because my statement is generaly how I like these things handled in ARPG’s, not specifically only LE in this case.
