So what’s active development for you?
They’ve announced 1.2 and a roadmap for future content. So far it’s been slower than other big studios like GGG and Blizzard, but that’s understandable, they are still young. Regardless, there is more coming, which means it’s not dead, just need to to wait… there are plenty of other games people can play in the meantime if they can’t wait.
Guys, stop getting baited and stop feeding the troll.
Shiyo is coming once every 6 months to whine, add nothing valuable to any conversation and each time being a doomsayer (the multiplayer was the death of the game, then the factions were the death of the game, then the early game, then the end game… 0.9, 1.0, 1.1 : all the death of the game).
Let them throw their tantrums and disappear for another few months.
Thanks for letting me know, I haven’t been here for long. Thought it may just be a troll.
Actually, it doth not need. Ye can simply bind “force move” on W.
Take care of thyself, Mike. Thou need to us, with love from Russia
You sure about that? I can agree that 1.0 came too soon, but I’m not sure you know any of the other details you’re talking about.
I recently started playing through LE again, and I am super excited for the future. If they start pumping out content every few months once S2 comes out and improve the engine a bit (it doesn’t need too much work but could be better), this game could be one of the giant ARPG pillars.
For our jobs, our work has always compared to the work of others in the industry to compare the quality and timeliness - and EHG has done poorly in my opinion : LE is so slow in creating content that practically all the OG content creators for the game have moved on/disappeared. The hardcore fans might disagree, but the number of active players do tell a dire story. When a game loses most players then it will lose out revenue in monetization, which can lead to less resources which leads to slower/less content which leads to a death spiral.
What can be done besides improving the rate of content creation? Improving skill and gear setups for underplayed classes/skills, is significantly less effort than the creation new art/animation but can inject interest for players to experiment and play existing content with a sense of trying something different while giving more time to push out content in other areas.
Wait, where did the story update go?
Someone having a different opinion doesn’t make them a troll.
To answer the other persons question:
Active development doesn’t look like 9 months between seasons in a seasonal game. That’s 3x as long as your competition - which is a catastrophic failure of epic proportions.
These devs set themselves up for failure when they announced they’d be doing a seasonal model, full well knowing their development cycles do not support such a model.
They should have stuck to paid expansion releases like Grim Dawn / D2 / Titan’s Quest.
Right now they’re just a ticking time bomb until they run out of money, because there’s no revenue stream for the seasonal model they chose.
Honestly, is there even a point about complaining about the delayed seasons? They’re not going to go faster for obvious reasons.
Man, what a waste of 5 years for this game. Thanks devs. Hope that extra month is worth it. Truly.
True, but how you say things is as important as what you say.
You’re confusing development with release.
Yes, the sky is falling, daeded gaeme, why are you here other than to rile people up & troll them?
That’s a reach & something you know nothing about. But I’m sure you’re right.
They have decided that since their kickstarter, the very beginning of the project… So not sure what you are trying to say
Great to hear.
I’m really looking forward to play LE again. To me it’s just in a perfect spot and I just love the crafting system. It needs a lot more to do in endgame though.
As a lot of others already mentioned, it’s kind of sad to hear that season 2 will be released in April. 3-4 months seemed like a great idea back when you announced it but you guys don’t seem to catch up. That’s unfortunate
this is kinda sad. last epoch is my favorite arpg, but playing it for a month every 9 months makes me think about deleting it. id really like to see big changes if its going to take so long. new classes/mastery subclasses, several new items, redoing the entire stats page/expanding on the stats and damage numbers available for skills, expansion level content. having 1 class passive tree reworked and a little bit more variety in end game encounters, is not enough for such large periods of time. sorry if this seems super negative. this is the only post ive made and im only posting because its frustrating. i played 600+ hours in the first 4-5 months and id love to do that again.
Hm. Please, share ur thoughts about stats page. Any UI upgrade ideas?
its basically free.
if u pick up a couple of items and sell throughout the campaign, you are able to respec nearly whenever you want… And by monoliths u could respec fully a couple of times a day.
Playing Poe2 remarked one more time one thing, that i already disliked before, but now it’s even more clear, the QoL in LE hardly not exist, the devs try their best to make everything unnecessarily cumbersome.
An example, the reason for why you lose the skill points levels when you remove them from a skill tree it doesn’t stand up, this kill all the quick change and experimentation, even if re-level them would require 10 second, would be 10 second to long, putting a spanner in the works for the players because maybe 50 super hardcore players could do some tricks with a few skill points respecc is not the right way to balance a game.
And this go on for a miriad of other things, like the 20 version of the same item with the level 10 version that keep dropping when you are at level 90, the loot filter alone don’t mean that on the ground can drop even the shiettiest item, especially when you will launch the game on console, don’t expect that all the players can affort to spend hours on time on it, especially with the actual controller interface that he have, really bad if i can tell.
To sum it up, i hope that the season 2 will bring also some real QoL to the game.
I guess I and the dev disagree with you on this one.
This was the case for 2 helmets and got change so… Not sure where your point is
Identification scrolls in PoE2, high respec cost, inability to unsocked etc
Oh are u sure on “unnecessarily cumbersome”?
