Screen Rip on Hungering Souls cast

Hi,
great game so far! I’m getting weird screen ripping when I cast hungering souls; the souls go out but I get hundreds of same color vertical lines that go completely bonkers on cast. It really looks like some kind of tracking lines if I were to guess.

It didn’t start this way, I was in the Armory near the upstairs mortars (if that makes any sense) I cast Souls on the mortars from down below and after that is when I noticed it.

May be completely unrelated but trying to give you all the info I have on it. I haven’t done any troubleshooting and a restart may fix but wanted to report it. Will update this topic if restart fixes etc.

Thank you again!

If this happens again could you please post your log file and system information? This might be an error that is specific to certain zones, so mention where it happens.

Restarting the game may fix this issue temporarily.

restart did fix, I’ll see if I can recreate it.

Cheers!

Also experiencing this same bug in addition to it happening with the projectiles from skeleton mages. Restarting did not fix it for me, but it only seems to occur when the projectiles go off screen or hit the target/terrain.

Just wanted to add my info as well. Experienced this after being in game for quite a while, can’t remember exactly how long. Was happening in the Armory and Ruins of Welryn mostly.

I can confirm that this visual bug only happens after playing about 20minutes+. It doesn’t happen immediately when playing the game (which may indicate a memory leak). The visual bug only happens in certain areas, when close to certain textures. I have made a recording here, with I hope will assist the devs in fixing this bug. As you can see in the video, it happens in one area, but not in another area. Video link: souls visual bug - YouTube

And here I went back to the exact same area (after restarting the game), and the visual bug does NOT appear again. This would indicate that it’s something that only happens after playing for a while (as I said above, it may be a memory leak): souls no visual bug after restart - YouTube

Also, this isn’t related to the visual bug with Hungering Souls, but why does Hungering Souls only deal damage to a single target ONCE? That makes very little sense, seeing as how you’re sending 5+ souls to a single target, why isn’t the target getting hit 5 times? Why only once? It honestly made me respec this spell after finding out that it only hits a target once… I think it should be changed
