Scale Monster Density with corruption with a cap

New mech is good enough and being dumped monsters etc is fun but now when i play normal maps i feel like map is just empty. It should not scale to infinity obviously but it would be nice to have it as a scale as well when we push corruption. Limit can be capped at 500 corruption or something

Generally I like scaling monster densitry up to a certain degree. But maybe it should be optional, like in the Weaver Tree or something.

Also once we get more and more new mechanics that are a horde-style mechanic the echoes will definitely will more dense.

I think this would probably be a good idea since then it allows you to tweak it every few maps or so if you feel things are getting a bit too hard/easy.

There is a monster/pack density in the weaver tree for cemetarys and tombs and also random spiderlings but they def need a generic one for normal echos. It seems at the same corruption on a timeline you’ll get one map thats super scattered and another thats clumpy. Would def be pro choice for a 3/3 node to increase by X percent.

but the thing is if they add just density node it’s like everyone is gonna get it no ? literally would be something everyone wants so imo just give it to everyone by scaling corruption one more reason to scale to 500.

another thing is tree just needs rework it is way too simple

Not necessarily, especially when there might be other options. Maybe even mutal exclusive options.

Some skills scale worse than other when the nubmer of enemies increase. E.g. Lightning Blast, which has a finite amount of chains.

But having choices between density or rarity for example, at least when they are balanced in a way that both are viable, that woudl give some options.

Also the Weaver Tree has enough points in it, that I don’t think having some nodes that everybdoy will pick at the end to be that bad. Because they is still the choice of WHEN to pick such nodes.

In an ideal world it would be great if there are no must-have nodes, but as long as its packages good enough to give you some choices early on its good enough for me personally.
