Hi,
I think Santa aka The Legendary Crimson Primalist, should be in LE as a NPC that shows up every now and then (think XUR from Destiny 2) in monoliths as a random encounter or just randomly.
Santa Klaus fits perfectly in this world and here why: he is known throughout time, his story has always been the same: give to the nice, punish the naughty (which fits with kill creatures and “sell” items) and he is absolutely an Primalist, to be more precise: Elder Primalist that everyone has heard stories about and that has Reindeer instead of Wolves, Snow Flakes instead of Avalanche and a Christmas Tree with Gifts underneath instead of Totem.
He fits perfectly within the world of Last Epoch and not only that, I even have a story for his background - play Carol of the Bells whilst reading this:
Story of Claus - The Crimson Legend:
HIs legend is known throughout time and space as people from all eras have heard of the Crimson Primalist who punishes the naughty and blesses the nice.
It is said that his story began a very long time ago, in an era of ancient time when few roamed the world. Tribes which would have practiced acts of kindness and selflessness would be one day visited by a large man in a crimson outfit that would bestow upon them gifts, blessings and much needed assistance. Some of the people in these tribes however would speak of this man’s power and viciousness as they bore witness how the man would wipe evil from existence, for he had no compassion for creatures who would cause harm, pain and suffering to others!
No one knows exactly where or how he came to be, but one thing is certain, he was both loved and feared and still is.
So be careful how you condone yourself, for one day you may be visited by the Crimson Primalist and when that day comes, you would prefer to be on his nice list rather than the naughty one.
Cosmetics that we must have:
- Santa’s outfit - full Santa outfit
- Reindeer - Wolves turn into Reindeer (please name them after Santa’s reindeer)
- Snow - Avalanche visual effect that turns it into snow flakes
- Christmas Tree - Totem (any of them)
- Gold Dust - Tornado or Maelstorm visual effect that turns it gold
Legendary Items:
Santa’s Stick - Mace/Staff item that punishes the naughty - has a chance raining coal (like a meteor or avalanche boulder) that can stun and debuff target.
Crimson Robe - Primalist Shamanic Garb with Aura effect - Spirit of joy - that buffs allies (atk or movement speed) and debuffs enemies (slows or blinds)
wasn’t high, no, just came back from playing Destiny and I realized that an NPC like Xur would be awesome in LE, but why a random character when it could be the actual myth it’s based upon - which would fit with the LE universe even better. Afterwards my brain kicked in and I imagined how everything would fit perfectly.
