Question, if you have points in both Attuned Approach and Author of Arcana such that you have greater than 100% mana refund in total, does that mean that casting Runic Invocation gains you mana?

It says right in the tooltip of Author of Arcana that it does not dude.
Well, that’s for Author, but I didn’t know it meant also for other nodes.
The reason for the question is why I see many people take both nodes, including 4/4 in Approach. Is it simply for the Ward?
