It would be nice if I could buy an infinite supply of runes of shattering from a single vendor. Of course limiting the supply is necessary for progression and I get that, but could we maybe get an option for it in empowered monos or at some point during progression? At the moment I can already buy an infinite supply I just need to repeatedly switch between towns and loading screens.

Shatterings loose their importance over time. Right now I have thousands of them because I only use them on class specific affixes, since I also have thousands of the common affix shards.
Also, they start dropping more and more as you progress empowered monos. You’ll soon have way more than you really need.
That being said, I have nothing against this. There could be many reasons why you’d need this. And, like you said, you can already do that in an annoying way. So why not provide a better experience for it? It’s not like it breaks anything in the game progression at that point anyway.
For context my use case came up when I rolled a new character. I had a healthy supply of maybe 200~ after completing about half of my empowered monoliths on my first character. But since I was on a new class I was shattering a large amount of items again. So I spent a few minutes traveling back and forth between towns spending maybe 200k gold on shatterings. It’s not a huge issue at all, just a small quality of life feature that would save some time for something that we can already do.
