Runemaster Mage

Hello,

I’ve been playing LE since mid 2022. I have a Level 100 Spellblade Runemaster Hybrid with mostly Unique items. I am kinda bored with my unique Chest Armor and Helmet. I’ve been farming in Level 90s and have found many items that are “stronger” (ie +100 Armor ) than what I have but when I put them on and check my Character Stat, DPS seem to be lower than my Uniques.
Am I gonna get better loots being Level 100? Or does it stop because I’ve already reached the max level?

Cheers
Jay

The type of loot that drops is not determined by character level, but by area level.

When you reached the last few normal monolith timelines (Area Level 85+) generally all random drop uniques and base types can drop already.

Many items having more base armor than uniques is very common, but that doesn#t make them “better” necessarily.

Depending on what your uniques provide you might need a very good abse item with very good mods to compete, possibly even an exalted item on a good base.

Tooltip dps is not everything though. Especailyl defensively a good crafted rare or exalted can exeed uniqeus often times, evne when you loose a bit of dps.

To give you more concrete hel pyou could try and upload your character and we might can make soem suggestions of what item slots you might be able to upgrade easily.

Thank you for the reply. I made a mistake of making my build Offline so it wont let me upload.

What I have:

Helmet: Apex of Thought (really works well with Glyph Of Dominion``
Chest: Unstable Core
Weapon: Volcanus with +50 Fire Damage
Gloves: Swaddling Of the Erased
Belt: Ward Trail
Boots: Blood Of The Exile
Relic: Eye Of Orexia
Rings: Both Sunwreath
Amulet: Pearls of the Swine

Would be great if you can help me out! I seem to be stuck :frowning:

You can also import offline builds into the planner. When you hit the import button, there’s 2 tabs on top: Online and Offline. Switch to offline and it will tell you where the files are located that you need to upload.

I have tried to search the files and I can’t find it. the instructions are confusing to me >.<

You just have to upload your save file. It will almost always be in this path:
C:\Users<YourWindowsUserName>\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves

But it could also be, if there’s nothing there, in the steam files:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\userdata<YourSteamUserId>\899770\ac\WinAppDataLocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves

In one or the other, you should find a file named:
1CHARACTERSLOT_BETA_0
Or:
1CHARACTERSLOT_BETA_1,
etc.

So just click on the import button (last button on the right, looks like a file icon with an up arrow) and navigate to that path.

Just import the file (if you have several you might have to try each until you find the correct one) and it will show on the planner. It will load your equipment, passives, skills, blessings, etc.
Once that’s done, hit the “Save/Share” button below the import button and then just copy the URL it creates and paste it here.

I still need help tho lol

I am not the best person to help you with that. You should wait for someone like Heavy, Llama or Kulze to chime in and give you some pointers on how to improve the build.

I’m also not the best to help with this but I will say that if you’re still farming in level 90 monos at level 100 you’re not helping yourself as much as you could. Move to empowered monos, level 100 maps are not really much harder than level 90 but you will be at 100 corruption which is better than level 90 maps.

Beyond that, your import either didn’t work or something isn’t working for me as it’s empty when I look at the link you posted. No equipment, skills, passives, idols, or anything.

That’s strange. I can see it just fine.

Apparently something on my end then, I don’t think this is the first time though. Have to log out of the Forum and back in probably.

I don’t think being logged or not in the forum matters for LETools site. It could be something you’re blocking, maybe a script or something that is preventing it.
Or something wrong with the cache. You can always try ctrl+f5 to see if that helps.

I wouldn’t either but that was the “fix” last time and just refreshing this page all of a sudden lets me see it now. Was probable the cache, just F5 for the refresh was all that was needed (Ctrl isn’t always necessary). :sunglasses:

So on first glance your build is all over the place.

What are you trying to achieve with your build primarily? You are health based with leech, but also a little bit of ward. (How much ward do you have on average?)
You have Spell, Melee, Hit and Ailment stuff, but no real damage investment into any of it, except some generic damage things like attributes.
What Runic Invocation are you primarily using?

Why exactly are you using all of these uniques? Do you think they are better then a rare/exalted item with a good base and decent stats?
Especially because all your uniques don’t even have legendary stats added to them, which definitely makes most of them quite a bit weaker than a decent rare or exalted item.

I think 1x Sunwreath should be sufficient and the 2nd one really doesn’t add much value.
You better get a good rare or exalted ring with good defensive and offensive stats.

Ward Trail is essentially useless, you have neglectable dodge investment and it doesn’t give your any real value. Try get a good belt base with tons of health (Hybrid Health and/or %inc health suffix). %Fire Damage + Elemental Damage over Time Prefix. And Ailment cleanse on potion use T1 seal

Pearls of the Swine has good raw stats but most of its unique affixes have little valie for you. Try getting an Exalted Bone Amulet or Oracle Amulet with good stats like resistance, fire penetration, health etc.

Your body armor does provide a lot of skill levels, but other than that the stats are not crazy good, especially because you are not a Elemental Nova build. Try getting + Level of Skill X for your most important skills on your other slots where possible (Helm, Body, Relic). And then a few other uniques can give generic +X to all level of skills like Nihilis or Omnis or Knowledge of an Erased Mage.

Blood of the Exile provide very littel value for you, except a lot of attributes, which you don’t really need. Try getting some Citadel, Solarum or Heoborean Boots with Hybrid Health.

Then try to get all the remaining uniques you have with at least 1 LP and Legendary Craft some good stats on them. Many of your uniques are also very realisically achieveable with 2LP or maybe even 3LP.

Overall you need much more health. many of the slots that provide huge amounts of health are unused by you. Also many of your blessings are very bad or completely useless. I am still unsure how much ward you really generate, but i doubt that all the ward related blessigns are worth it. Going health with better leech will be way better defensively I am sure.

Also your passives are all over the place, some have 0 value for you and are not even functioning. But before suggesting a better passive tree I need to udnerstand what you pimary goal would be and what direction you want to go.

Thank you for your post. My goal is just to have high damage per second and high resistance. I thought my build was quite good in battle but im just bored. so should i reset my passive tree?

i created an online same build:

https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/AK7883DA

let me know what i should change.

I won’t comment on Gear, so here’s my thoughts on Skills:

  • Mana Strike: What’s the purpose of this? Just to regen mana or as a core component of your rotation? You’ve increased the “out of mana” damage, but that’s only helpful when you’re in negative mana. you spent 2 points for a +25% Spark Charge chance which isn’t worth it unless Mana Strike is constantly used, which directly conflicts with the “out-of-mana damage” intentions imo.
  • Runic Invocation: You have “gain runes faster from channeling”, but don’t channel anything. Not much else to say here except you have scattered 1 points here and there for seemingly no reason. What invocation are you using?
  • Flame Reave: You’re using Rhythm of Fire, which gets 4 stacks from Mana Strike (4x3=12), but then use a point to reduce the required stacks to 11 and gives a +2% crit chance, seems like that could be spent elsewhere, you also have +10% chance to explode on kill and then spent 2 points buffing the explosion, which only happens 10% of the time and only if Flame Reave itself got the kill, seems like you could take the 1 point from Engulfing Flames and 1 point from Accelerando and get a 30% chance to explode on kill, or move those 3 points from Scorched Earth and Volatile Strike to Precise Destruction for +6% base crit chance (or anywhere else, really.) But that depends on what the purpose is. Is it your kill skill or just a rune generator for Invocation?
  • Glyph of Dominion: Not much to say here except I’d move those 4 points in Vaporizing Realm and put them in Charged Reflections and Arcane Mirror. You’re not really doing DoT damage with Dominion as your passives are centered around detonating it. Might as well get even more Ward Per Second and All Resist while standing in it.
  • Frost Claw: Since I’m assuming you’re not directly casting it, I’d take the point out of Brightfrost and out of Fen of the Frozen to max Macuahuitl. How does this affect your Runic Invocations, are you fine with the random frost runes?

Passives:

  • Mage: Arcane Current and Ice and Fire aren’t really doing anything for you, move them to Sorcerer’s “Mana Shell” for the 5 point bonus. You could also remove the two Arcanist points to boost Knowlege of Destruction, or takd all 4 points out and put one more in Elementalist and leave the Mage passives at the base 20.
  • Sorcerer: Mana Shell is great so I’d get that 5 point bonus.
  • Spellblade: If all you want is Flame Reave then 5 points in Elemental Affinity is all you need, those other two points aren’t doing anything for you.
  • Runemaster: This entire tree is a mess that looks like points were thrown in randomly. 6/6 Unsealed Mana is great, but Arcane Focus and Transcendence aren’t doing anything for you (+4 Passives). The entire Sphere of Protection line is wasted as you’re not built around ignite/chill/shock, at the very least recover the 4 points in Circle of Elements and Freezing Point for now (+4 Passives). For the love of Eterra, cap Runeword: Cataclysm (-4 Passives). Rune of Renewal and Edict of the Scions are great, leave those. Remove the point from Inscribed Instruments as you’re literally not using any of those weapons. The three “Decree” passives are fine. So, with this you’re now at 38 passive points spent and have recovered 5 more. 2 points into the Fire Decree for it’s 5 point bonus and then either 3 more into the Ice Decree or progress down the pasive tree more, up to you.
