Rune of Ascendance

• The first of the three chase crafting items. This transforms an item into a random unique or set of the same type.
• The subtype does not matter, just the item type. For example using a Rune of Ascendance on a silver ring can result in any unique or set ring that could randomly drop, but cannot result in a unique helmet.

Yeah, the Rune of Ascendance cannot result in boss specific drops.

Ravenous void is technically a randomly dropping unique that has a bonus chance to drop from a specific boss, rather than a boss specific unique, so you can get it from Rune of Ascendance, though it’s not very likely.

It scales based on how rare it is for the item to drop randomly. So if an item rarely drops, you’ll rarely get it from a rune of ascendance. The chance isn’t that low though, so if you’re specifically looking for a rare drop, using your runes of ascendance on the right item type is a good idea in combination with other things like farming the right timeline.

A: The chances for each amount of legendary potential are scaled as if the unique had dropped at level 100, but are then reduced multiplicatively by a fixed value.
