Rune of Ascendance Failed

My friend’s (AvoidedLine) crafting did not work. He put a blue 2H staff into the crafting tab, added the rune of ascendance, and pressed craft. The rune was consumed, but the staff did not change. After logging in and out, the rune is still gone and the staff is still an unchanged blue item.
