Rollback in SA servers

I was level 35 on my druid and I got disconnected, when I went to character selection, my character dropped to level 26, how can they launch this without testing? druid is full of animation errors like walking in T pose after exiting a transformation, these types of errors seem to be the same as Path of Exile has done, because if someone tested it before releasing the patch, I’m sure they would have seen it and warned that they needed it to repair, so no one is testing.

It was probably a conflict with steam’s autosave, I looked in my folder to see if there was an individual save for the character, but there wasn’t, just a ‘‘steam_autocloud’’ file, and now I’ve deactivated my steam cloud. Please fix this.

They have had lots of people testing, what you describe probably didn’t appear.

Are you playing online or offline? I assume when you mention the conflict with steam cloud that you’re playing offline.

All of your offline characters are saved on your pc.

I’m talking about the online mode, if it’s offline, there’s no server, and if I’m complaining about the servers, obviously, I’m online, it wouldn’t make sense to play offline since the best thing about update 0.9 is online, but at the same time I’m regretting test as I had my progression and immersion totally destroyed by a rollback shit. And if I’m wrong referring to them putting the character’s save through some kind of steam autosave system, then the SA servers are having problems, because if this happened to me, it will probably happen to more people. And I’m trying to warn you. And yes, there may be people testing it, but that’s why there is something called ‘’ DEFER ‘’ if ‘’’ X content ‘’ is not ready yet, just postpone.

I asked because I was confused when you mentioned looking for save files on your pc. Only the offline saves are on your pc.

But yes, rollbacks & lots progress suck and this was supposed to be one of the main benefits of having the saves on EHG’s servers.

it’s probably being saved inside these steam files, but obviously we don’t have access to the data itself, everything goes to the cloud directly

note, before leaving I deleted my only offline character, so obviously, there shouldn’t have been any content saved inside that file, so the only explanation is that the characters are being saved by steam, not by the EHG servers, until the hours of editing when I closed the game for the last time are hitting the 2 files.

The online saves are stored on EHG’s servers and have nothing to do with steam (other than authentication and login). Steam only gets involved with character files for offline characters.
