When I press the skill too quickly after just using the skill the character animation plays but the skill effects like the melee slash and daggers do not visually play nor hit any enemies. This is especially apparent after allocating the ‘Dagger Dance’ and ‘Hurricane of Blades’ nodes as the character animation is even longer and sometimes results in your character locked in place spinning for multiple seconds only letting you break free by using a Traverse skill like ‘Shift’. I’ve noticed that that this bug won’t happen if I wait around 2 seconds before using Shadow Cascade again but it is very frustrating and has caused multiple deaths with me locked in place while enemies surround me. Thanks!
I’m having the opposite situation, where I am not locked into the animation but must stand there holding the button to do anything. I don’t get locked into animations, but instead I waste time and take far more damage than necessary for a slow spin to complete and an attack to finally trigger. Before the multiplayer beta this skill used to instantly cast and do its damage on-button-press and you were free to either let the animation finish and then move, or use a skill like Shift or another to cancel into movement and move immediately on. This change feels incredibly bad, to the point where I question if it’s ever worth the risk.
Yes, Im having a similar issue where if Im moving prior to using Shadow Cascade my character will be stuck until I use shift to free myself. This includes the use of other movement skills like Synchronized Strike. It wasn’t really an issue until I hit some of the higher corruption monoliths, but now that I can be killed much more quickly the build is no longer capable of making up for this minor bug by simply killing the monsters and bosses before they kill me.
This bug is pretty easy to replicate, just be moving or use a movement skill prior to using Shadow Cascade. There is a minor stop to cast the skill, but you wont be able to move and will prevent the use of other skills like Deadly Mirage and Synchronized Strike. I haven’t tested dancing strikes with this bug, but Shift seems to be the only thing that will allow me to escape this lock.
