This doesn’t fix the issue, but I think I understand how things are supposed to work with this config.
I’m so used to have to click to move that I didn’t even think of doing this, but if you hold down left click it will continue to move but what is new to me is being able to hold rmb while clicking lmb.
I was so used to clicking one or the other that my initial impression was to want to swap the buttons, but with this it’s a bit more bearable to melee since you can attack and move at the same time. (I still want to swap though)
I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER. All you need to do is go to your mouse settings on windows and change your primary mouse button from left to right (should be at the top). So now the game thinks you are clicking with left mouse anyways but its actually right click
I have no trouble rebinding use-ability-5 to left-mouse, and force-move to right-mouse, and move/interact to F…
the PROBLEM with this, is that PICKUP does not seem to use move/interact, but is hard-coded to the left-mouse button, so now as I’m picking up items with left-mouse-button, my character keeps attacking with ability-5…
Please fix so that “pickup item from the ground” uses the “move/iteract” keybind, instead of being hardcoded to left-mouse-button
I could rebind my RMB to act as LMB vice versa.
And use another programmable mouse button to switch profiles, so I can return to normal mouse button mapping on a whim.
Just an idea in case you have a configurable mouse, too.
No, it was intentionally removed for rrasons (which i can’t remember).
I don’t know about Dota, but all of the other games you mention have lmb to move as the default. You may be able to change it (it’s not an issue for me so I’ve never checked), but RMB to move isn’t the degault for arpgs.
Dota follows the control scheme of strategy games (since it started as a custom map in a strategy game). Simplified, it means left click to select units and right click to perform actions.
This can be done with autohotkey and other applications for any mouse.
