Riftbeast-Champions alwys kill me instantly... but why?

Actually running 370 Corruption with the Judgement Pala , Resis are maxxed (except Void at 72%), critiimmun, 3500 Life and 1000 Ward. Bosses and Harbingers are a Breeze and everything is fine. And then i try the Riftbeast-Champions. First Try went ok so i set a whole Area with these Echoes. But in Echo 2 i can´t survive. Always got oneshot. And i don´t get it. And since it seems they don´t show you anymore what killed you i´m confused. Standing in my Judgement and…over. Tried 6 Times and the 3. or 4. Riftbeast always gets me. Tried to get more Life but that´s a bit hard cause my Gear is (for what i know) at this Point pretty fine.
Are they such Machines? Or am i missing something?

What do you mean? They still show the death screen that tells you how much damage you took and what killed you. There have been a few screenshots of those this season in these forums already.

You need more armor

Try it with these Echoes…no Info on the Deathscreen at all.
Maqybe it´s just these Ecoes, don´t know.
@Peinshakoff But that doesn´t explain Oneshots when you can Facetank Harbingers.

Don’t give EHG more ideas to make the game harder. Also, I’m 100% pro oneshot mechanic but I’m a SC player.

Joke’s aside there are some upgrades you have to avoid like the plague. For me its negative res stuff from ailments and elemental whirlwinds is another.

First off the Riftbeast Champion Echo has a very high variance in difficulty, depending on what modifiers and affixes the Riftbeast gets and what evolutions it has.

On top of that did you make sure to let all other Monolith Modifiers run out? These can sometimes increase the difficulty significantly.

What do you mean “let all other Monolith Modifiers runout?”

The funny Thing is that i die on random Attacks. The daqngerous Zones would make Sense.
Example: New Beast appears, throws a Fireball, i avoid it and move to the Beast. While i move i get a random Attack and die.Happened more than once…and i move with a Skill and not walking like a Zombie

Monolith Modifiers last 1-3 Echoes. So when you still have 1 or 2 remaining Echo Modifiers, they will affect your Woven Echoes as well. You can do a few other echoes before that, that have modifers that only last 1 echo, so they don’t transfer to more echoes. Or you do Echoes with new Modifiers, that don’t affect the difficulty for you at all. (IE Slow or Armor Shred are usually pretty free for boss Woven Echoes)

Monolith modifiers hang around for 1-3 monoliths. So you can technically end up with up to 2 hefty modifiers that crank up the difficulty on this particular woven monolith.

And as Heavy also stated the Bloodline Glade is frickin’ rough. In some ways it’s harder than normal Abby. It’s slightly less difficult than the Fading Brink which, aside from Uber, I personally think is the hardest Woven echo.

EDIT: Heavy beat me to it. Jinx, you owe me a coke!

This is LE 98% of your deaths will be what killed me and trying to figure out what invisible thing did it.

You need crit reduction, way more Dot mitigation and Armor.

What likely killed you was an invisible ground effect doing massive damage withering away your ward and HP then you got hit really hard. The rift beast that do the fire ball attack you can’t really avoid often do this and put fire on the ground that you often can’t see.

Best thing to do is rotate to the side of the creature immediately to try and avoid invisible stuff and keep an eye on HP and keep moving. Until EHG fixes them and until you fix some defenses.

OK, Dot-Mitigation and Armor i understand.
But why Critreduction when i have 100 % Crit Avoidance?
And how much Dot Mitigation is the sweet Spot?

Oh didn’t notice that your fine then.

As much as possible. Dots are brokenly overtuned in this game. You probably want over 40% Dot mitigation from armor and then Less Dot damage taken multiple sources.

Hopefully EHG fixes Dots at some point there is a thread where they are doing a survey on them. Hope they fix resist in this game too at some point. They should matter more like in other ARPGs.

Bottom line is you will always die to Dots. Especially as you get higher in corruption. Dots and Aoe.
