I think a revive during combat mechanic could be viable if you had to have a small idol revive that worked like the harbinger needle. It revives you with 20% HP, and the small idol disappears. It wouldn’t be too op that way in my opinion. It could also work in such a way that you had to be out of combat for at least 12 seconds before another one could pop in case you were wearing multiple. They could also be a decently rare drop to make sure they weren’t abused all the time.
How would this work with how echos are failed upon dying or porting out?
As well as the loot lose death penalty.
There could be 2 ways they go about it I guess.
First they could decide that it works after one second of being dead, and you revive with 20%. If they did this, then I assume the echo would switch to the bonus stability progress(**/10). I assume if it did this then it would just take the percentage of how far you filled up your bar already and gave you bonus stability to match up(Example: 20/40 bonus stabiltiy would translate to 5/10).
Secondly, they could treat it as a negation of the fatal blow like how the “Totem of Undying” works in Minecraft if you are familiar(Your fatal blow is tanked, and you just set at 20% health accordingly). This way you never technically die, so you never failed the echo. One might consider this way more op given that you could lose echos less often, but they would be rare drops to be fair making it not quite worth to use.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve lost nemesis loot after dying from a DOT after killing it. Its very frustrating.
