Rethinking Stash Management: Tab Expansion & Seasonal Templates

Hi everyone,

I’ve been pushing deep into the endgame, and while I love the flexibility of the current stash system, the “management tax” starts to feel pretty heavy once you’re juggling hundreds of Exalted items and Uniques. I have a two-part suggestion to streamline the hoard and make the start of a new Cycle feel less like a chore.

1. The Problem: “Tab Bloat” and Seasonal Setup Fatigue

Right now, if you want to be organized, you end up with dozens of tabs. Buying, naming, and color-coding them every single season is tedious. Even with a good search bar, clicking through 15 different “Unique Armor” tabs to find a specific roll is a bit of a headache.

2. The Solution: Expandable/Scrollable Tabs

Instead of just buying a new tab every time, what if we could expand an existing one?

  • How it works: You buy a tab (e.g., “Idols”). Instead of buying “Idols 2” when it gets full, you pay a gold fee to add “slots” or “pages” to that specific tab, making it scrollable.
  • The Limit: To keep things from getting messy, maybe a tab can only be expanded up to 10x its original size. Once you hit that cap, you’d have to start a new tab.
  • The Benefit: This keeps the sidebar clean. You have one “Idols” tab that holds everything, rather than a folder with 10 separate tabs you have to click through individually.

3. Seasonal Reward: Stash Templates

Starting a new Cycle should feel like a fresh start, but the UI setup shouldn’t be a grind.

  • The Idea: If a player reaches Level 100 in a previous season, they should unlock a “Stash Template” for the next one.
  • The Perk: This template would allow you to pre-configure/unlock your first 10 tabs (with names and colors) at a significant gold discount at the start of the season.
  • Why? It rewards the endgame push and lets players get straight back into the action without spending 30 minutes setting up their sorting system again.

Summary

The goal is to reduce the time spent in town. Let us grow the tabs we already have rather than forcing us to manage a massive list of individual ones, and give us a little “legacy” boost for hitting Level 100 by making the next season’s setup easier.

Old seasonal stash Management stuff needs some definite QoL stuff.

I would also like them to do a seasonal stash tab clear at the end or beginning of each new cycle.

When an old seasonal stash tab is emptied, it should get removed completely. You can’t use it anymore and I’m dreading getting 12 seasons in and having 12 old season stashes each with multiple tabs in it that I have to try and remember if I left anything in them? As it is now, I create a BLANK category and shove any empty tabs in that to get them out of the way visually at least.
