Respec mastery

I would highly suggest that there should be a an option to respec your mastery and change it if someone wants to, i know there is a warning telling u that u can’t change it but for me i would like to try new builds that i see that comes up when i want to and that thing where i can’t change my mastery kind of feels like getting trapped in 1 char so i would love to see in the near future having the option to change them.

I disagree mastery should be permanent choice per character. If you want to try new mastery just creat new character. You don’t need to doing whole campaign over and over just get your passive points and idol slots + you can skip parts of campaign by dungeons and you can level your alts with powerfull legendaries so leveling alts in Last Epoch is pretty fast.

I mean you might find it fun and fast at first to do so once or twice or three times but after you keep doing it then it gets a little boring that you are forced to do them and re-level so in my opinion no it shouldn’t be permanent cause as i said previously if u wanted to try other builds and how they perform it would get boring, at least they can make it an option at first so the player base are familiar with the builds and the game and then they can implement the “no change mastery” all i’m saying is repeating gets boring at some point.

I would do something in the middle. Until finishing the story, you should be able to swap masteries to try out all of them (cause there is no test area for your mastery).

Then after killing the last boss you have to pick permanent.

How do you stop this from abusing (just not killing the last boss)? Easy, you cant enter monos until you have your mastery.

So what if you want to do monos early and dont want to finish the story at all? You can like right now pick your mastery at lvl 15, but dont have to. You can at every point of the story go to the end of time and perma lock your mastery. Thats how i would do it.

One individual mastery already has plethora of different builds.
If you want to try something entirely else, you gotta play a new build with a new char.

It really doesn’t take that long to unlock mastery and most of your skills.

Everything else already is respeccable with ease. So having this one single thing that actually matters is a good thing and should stay like that in my opinion.

I’d prefer to keep mastery a permanent choice. There are extremely few permanent choices already as it is, I wouldn’t reduce it even further.

But I suppose one middle ground that could be reasonable is making it respeccable up until you placed 10 new passive points or something like that, with a pop up warning you that you won’t be able to respec it anymore at that point.

I would prefer a “Training Room” kinda thing where you can test mastery skills freely before choosing.

This could be explaiend with Time Travel and “exploring potenial futures of yourself” or something

I actually suggested this recently. Just let us use the dummies right at level 1, give us all the points and let us respec skills and passives at will. That way people can fiddle around, they can test all they want without need to level skills. And when they’re done, they go back to whichever level/skills/passives they had and can work on their build with (way more than) proper knowledge.
