Respec cost

I should have checked the price of respeccing mastery before spending all my gold on gear for the new build.
Now I’m stuck in a situation where I have to grind for hours in a build I don’t want to play anymore in order to pay to change mastery.
It’s my fault for not checking, but still, feels bad…

Update: I grinded out the gold needed to respec, but because I levelled up 3 times in the process and the mastery respec cost has gone up too so I need to grind more gold and try get enough before levelling up again lol

I’m having the same issue. Gaining more XP than gold and thus can’t actually respec since the cost is going up exponentially. The numbers here don’t feel right.

I’m sorry, but you’re saying you spent all your gold to get good gear for a new build, preventing you from respeccing your mastery, but then you choose to spend hours on a character you don’t like to play, trying to get more gold to respec, spending more hours cause the cost keeps increasing, instead of just creating a new character and get to the same level as the other one in shorter time, since you already have good gear, while actually enjoying the character your playing?

Why are you doing this to yourself?

I’m glad I didn’t read this until now and did not take this terrible advice.
I did manage to respec shortly after complaining and it took a shorter amount of time than it would have taken me to start from scratch, which is something I would not want to do.
Why would I want to repeat the campaign immediately again instead of just grinding through the end game some more? (even though I’m complaining here, repeating the campaign again just doesn’t seem like a fun idea to me)
Also, the gear I bought would not have been useful during the campaign due to level requirements. Were you actually suggesting I use it to level up?
