Respec after Mastery

I am following a Build Guide that will have different Primalist skills then the points I need in my final build.
Can I respec passives my base skills in Primalist after selecting a mastery?
I know that the Mastery is locked in after I pick that so that’s not a problem but the first 20 points need tweaking at some point in the leveling process.

Yes, you can still respec all your passives.

As above says, yes you can respec all passives. Note, however, that when you do you cannot put points into any of the Mastery passive trees until you’ve put at least 20 points into the base class (i.e. you must have at least 20 points in Primalist before you can put any in Beastmaster, Druid, or Shaman) unless they’ve changed that with the 1.0 release.

No, it’s still that way. So if you have any point in any other mastery, you have to remove those first before being able to respec the base tree.

So that would be a total respec of all points to do that?

Yes, except for the ones you might want to keep in the base tree.

You just need one spare point and then you can re-spec the entire base class tree (leaving all the rest in mastery trees).

Simply add your spare point into base class tree, now you have 21 in the tree, then remove one you don’t want, back to 20, add one you do want etc. It’s a little tedious but cheaper than completely clearing the mastery trees.
