I recall when I played 1.0 that resonances felt too rare, and i dont know if anything changed since then, but they still feel too rare, obsidian ones in particular, I know the limitation is there to stop you from trading with strangers, but it just felt too strict for me
Imo the drop rate of resonance is fine.
U do not need any of them. If u always play in a party with them. U can just gift it with no resonance. As long as they are in the same zone and party when the item drops.
Resonance is ment for if u happen to find an item while they are either not in the same zone as u or where not online when the item dropped. Or even not in a party with u but are online
I for one feel like their purpose is exactly as the devs described it if Im not wrong and that is when you play alone and find items for your friends. For me they are just weird and feel they should drop at random only when you are playing solo and can work for every friend in your friend list that has been your friend for the past x time so it will not affect trade or something.
Why am I saying this? Because lets say I play with my friend for 5 hours across the weekend. Literally maybe 1 golden resonance drops after its buff. Yes I mean it just that. Then I play by myself for maybe 10 more hours cause I have no life and drop some cool items for him. Congrats no obsidian resonance no items for him. Play a bit more with him over the next few days still no obsidian resonance and the item just rots in my stash tab. They are mostly pointless in the way they work and cause of how rare they still are.
They need to give us a way to “trade up” golden resonances, as currently they’re basically only useful for the really rare uniques; last time I played with my friend I never had enough obsidian resonances, and used I think a SINGLE golden resonance…
