That’s because he is not really your friend and just waits to backstab you
EHG stated that there are timers that continue where you left off. That means, they have some timed rate in mind. This doesn’t seem to work correctly, though.
Since I haven’t played in a party since launch, I have actually no clue how resonances look like as a drop. Is it possible that you have rushed so fast through maps that they dropped somewhere off-screen?
Are they marked on the minimap like uniques and sets?
when they drop they are just like a set or unique, they get marked. They are hard to miss, but it would be possible if your rushing through the map, but we arent rushing so we havent missed any.
You dont, but when we play separate it would be nice to be able to send stuff to each other using the resonance from playing together, but they take ALONG time to get.
When they drop do the players get one each? Just curious.
How does this prevent RMT? If we play together we can only trade with each other, so how does making the drop rate so low prevent RMT? And what RMT have to do with trading with each other anyways? Im lost on that point.
No and thats whats weird.
We can play 3 straight hours together, one of us get one, then another 2-3 hours later the other may get one, but it does seem to take turns.
Because apparently if 2 people want to engage in RMT they will play the game together for x hours until a Resonance drops that allows them to complete the trade they have arranged. Hence x needs to be LARGE to deter such behaviour.
And yes this is utterly ludicrous nonsense and totally paranoid. Every player who just wants to play with friends and give each stuff outside gifting has to suffer for no good reason.
Because if you get a ressonance every 2 hours there will be boosting services in no time. If RMT bossters need to stick with a slowpoke for 24 ingame hours they most likely will not offer this service. Just one example why it should take time get those.
On top of it I don’t know if ressonace is transfered to the eternal realm for example. If so you could equip each other with imtes in no time if the timer was low and EHG already said they want people to play the game and grind for items instead of having people gifting a whole set of items and reduce the grind of the game.
Then they are wrong since that is what FRIENDS want to do when they play together. All this is achieving is deterring co-op play among friends.
When you play togheter you can gift 24/7. Ressonance is only needed if said friend is offline sooo?
Of course I know that. I didn’t mean play in the same group. I have a regular ARPG group and we play the same ARPG together but at all sorts of different hours. Sometimes in co-op, sometimes I am online alone etc etc.
Yeah but you said they are wrong and I think they aren’t ^^. Ressonance is well and fine but I have more questions then answers to it. The pal I play with got a ressonance today I still haven’t droped one while playing with him ^^.
Sorry bad wording by me. I meant I think they are wrong to deny friends the ability to easily transfer a ton of items to each other, as per the quote you supplied.
Yes and no. I understand their wish that people actualy play the game and earn their tuff mostly. I also understand the wish of players to trade with friends without to much loops to jump through. I think they will change the ressonace drop rates if they think they are to harsh or get feedback for it. Right now I don’t think it’s a meaningfull timeframe. If I take some realistic numbers like 2 people play 10-20h a week in a group and then still get no ressonance in one week… welp that’s realy terrible ^^.
Gold sellers (RMT) wont waist time waiting for a res to drop.
They want quick sales not time wasted to get that sale.
RMTers dont need to get a res. Its far more efficient for them to jist p2p trade.
U also cant give gold in gifting RMT isnt an issue when it comes to gifting al that much. Even if res dropped just a tiny bit more often.
The drop rate of both of them currently is just bad. Last night i finally had a golden one drop while play in a party with my wife.
We have been playing together since last week friday racked up about 60 or so hrs together. Its really shouldnt take that long for even one to drop. Neither of us even have a purple res either.
I think the range that you can be away from your party member is also causing issues imo. I think being in the same instance itself should be good enough for them to count as time played.
ETA: our movement speeds are so vastly different that sticking on each other’s hip is next to impossible unless we severely hinder our clear speeds.
It would be nice if it was the same instance/map. Right now it feels like if you are not in the same screen you are done ^^. I guess the small range is to prohibit splitfarming.
I didnt even think about that. I agree should be instances based
I completely agree, which is why I said basing resonance drop rate on the fear of RMT people exploiting them is just silly.
The only thing that these low drop rates achieve is punishing friends who just want to experience the game together and trade stuff (from times they were not actually playing together at same time).
