This happens mildly frequently where the system seems to forget what resolution it’s set to, and does it’s own thing
reproduce: just launch the game, 80% of the time, it seems to launch fine. If i go a few days, it will revert to my monitor resolution (4k) vs the set resolution (720p - dont judge, on a work laptop while mobo is RMA’d)
this is and was completely reproducible on my other PC where I played at 1080 on a 4k monitor and was constantly switching back to the native monitor resolution
resolution: make any change to any little setting, i often just switch to very low, hit apply, that fixes the resolution, then just put it back to the preset it was. but any setting that triggers the ‘apply’ button works to reset the resolution
