Since 1.0, even on ULTRA with detailed shadows checked, there are some surfaces that causes shadow rendering to flicker and jump around like crazy as you move around.
Doesnt really show in screenshots, but in motion, its quite noticeable.
Some key surface types that cause this issue:
- The floating stone paths in The End of Time
- Any wooden plank pathways
It seems that the game is trying to render shadows for these individual planks or stones and that they are overlapping or something with each other, causing a similar effect to what z-fighting causes with textures overlapping on the same plane.
