Ditch multi spire objectives -
The other two objectives involves killing one boss or one forge, yet spires can have up to three in different locations. At times they spawn on opposite ends of the map and just add needless tediousness to an already tedious mechanic. There’s nothing challenging or difficult about fighting 3 giant seashells opposed to one. The most dangerous part about multi spires is getting bazooka’d when you zone in.
I don’t mind killing 1 or 3 spires.
But the difference between the “worst” and the “best” possible positions inside a given area should be smaller.
This also applies to all other objectives.
Sometimes an objective literally is 1 1/2 screen away from your spawn point and you can finish it in like 20-30 seconds, while other times as you described, multiple spires are on opposite sides of the map, needing like 4-5 minutes to clear.
I don’t mind having longer echoes, but the difference should be less.
So get rid of the super short ones and the super fast ones.
Make each echo a middleground between the 2 extremes.
I don’t think adding more spires adds any more complexity to the situation so I’m not sure the purpose of more than one a map. The placement of the objectives is completely dependent on the map. I use to look at mods to determine which maps I do, but now I look at their locations. You can actively always pick the shortest maps, if you take note of which ones are short. They would have to get rid of shorter maps like harbor and longer maps like ascent in order to get a middle ground.
