It doesn’t happen terribly often, but sometimes I get a crit that just outright kills me in corruption 300-400+.
I have 1300 HP, 42% Armor, capped resists, and on average about 6-7k ward plus the Mitigation from Reowyn’s Frostguard. It’s entirely possible I am just being hit by 30 mobs at the same time to remove the ward and just unlucky but it usually is always after hearing that ‘crit’ sfx.
Runemaster build, 6/6 Mental Catalysis passive for 48% reduction (And I am wearing a Catalyst), Citadel boots with 41% reduction implicit and another 23% reduction affix attached. Does that not equal 112% or am I missing something with the implicit vs passive vs affix amounts? Mostly I’m just making sure I’m not crazy.
Really wish there was some kind of combat log to validate this stuff (or is there and I’m blind?).
I didn’t think to check the echo modifiers, that may have something to do with why it’s only an occasional issue. No idea if I had armor shred or the -resist affliction on me. I’ll try to keep an eye out for those if/when it happens again.
But even so, is this from a ‘crit’ or are ‘normal’ hits doing that much damage?
In that regard, it would help a ton if your death recount included what your buffs and debuffs were at time of death. I always found it odd that they bothered to even include such a system, and then gave you basically nothing to indicate how you actually died.
