Reduce scenery target priority

I’m playing rogue with bow using a controller and it seems like all the destructible scenery has the highest target priority because I aim my left stick at a group of enemies and my character refuses to attack them until it’s destroyed every barrel and fence within a 45 degree arc.

I’ve seen some other comments about target priority but they were more subtle, like about targeting higher or lower strength enemies… My issue seems more fundamental. Scenery should only be targeted if there are absolutely no possible enemies to attack.

I would like this as well. Maybe a hotkey that activates special targetting instead of having it on as a default?

I think as long as there are enemies on screen attacks shouldn’t even consider hitting objects instead of enemies. How many times did I play a chain lightning Sorc and it chained into a pile of wood instead on the enemies in front of me ^^.

I haven’t had this particular issue, most of my characters that use ranged appear to prioritize enemies over breakable objects (I actually try to target breakables sometimes while my minions attach the enemies).

One issue that may be related to this though is movement. While trying to move through some areas there are higher elevation areas that are not even possible to move to which interfere with moving through the area. Your character tries to move based on your cursor being in the area of these higher elevations.
