Rebinding the Pet Move/Attack for Controller

I’m well aware the controller support isn’t fully implemented yet, but I thought I’d finally try to make a pet build and when rebinding the Pet Move/Attack (default A key for keyboard but bound to nothing on controller) I decided to bind it to the A button of my Xbox One controller. Doing this does not allow any further input from either the controller or keyboard and I have to shut the game down via Task Manager.

Is this something that just isn’t possible at this time, or is this a known issue? I’ve been able to make any build work fine with the controller implementation that currently exists, but I need to be able to control the minions to make this build possible.

This is also my first time trying to rebind the controller buttons.

It seems like two buttons are bound to using the town portal, so I think we can put the Minion Command on one of those… Not sure if this was an oversight or it stopped working at some point.

I haven’t had any problems with rebinding keys, so I’m not sure. If you have any trouble with that again could you please upload your log file? Thanks!

I just tried again. I log into my character, turn on my controller and use it to complete the entire rebind of the button A. It had the same effect as last time and freezes any further input.

So I thought about it a bit more and decided to use only the keyboard to do everything until it asked me what button to rebind it to (which I pressed A on the controller). This actually worked, but while I could now tell the minions where to go via the “A” button it no longer could be used to interact with things.

Now your suggestion of the portal fixes this. I didn’t even realize (or probably forgot) that Right on the D-pad also opens a portal. So yes, I configured the Minion Command to the “Y” button which appears to work ‘okay’ for the time being until you guys implement improved controller support. Thanks.
