Reaper Form Bug - Change Ability to Different Bar Slot While Active, Becomes Confusing and Sometimes Permanent

So. If you activate Reaper Form, it causes the actual “reaper form” button on your hotbar to change to the “reap” skill

if, at this point, you change one of your other hotbar slots to “reaper form” and then use that skill, things become very confusing.

First, you enter reaper form again, with the health drain correctly applying, but your health bubble is ‘red’ instead of the dirty grey it’s supposed to be in reaper form.

Then, when your health drains all the way to 0, your health stops draining (as if you’d left reaper form) but the actual reaper form buffs (in particular, Reaper’s Ascendence) remain, and continue to stack forever.

Then the next time your health drops to 0, you die. When you resurrect, your health bubble is permanently set in the wrong graphic, i.e. if you’re in reaper form it will be red, and if not it will be dirty grey. Except sometimes it seems like you are still in reaper form; “reap” is still available as a skill to put in your hotbar.

To be honest, I’m not really sure I can get all of the details right. It seems like the behavior is slightly different each time I try this out.

But at least once, I was clearly immortal. The game thought I was in reaper form, but every time my health dropped to 0, it would just drop me right back into reaper form.

If a player could figure out exactly how to recreate this gamestate, it’d be a pretty easy-to-use godmode.
