Realm of the Forgotten feels a little pointless

Currently you can just run through the Realm of the Forgotten, ignoring all enemies along your path until you reach the section where you can choose your mastery. This makes a lot of the area feel pointless. I propose that the area is either reworked to simply not include these enemies and maybe include a bit more narrative about the masteries themselves or that the selection of mastery be gated by a boss-type enemy is placed at the end to as a “trial” of sorts.

Yeah, that entire quest seems a bit lacking.

And after you finish it the portal does not close and the portal from the next quest spawns almost on top of it.

Yup, this has been said before. I can understand keeping the current portal open so the player can go back & do the quest if they logged off before doing it but there’s no point in keeping the previous portal open once you’ve clicked the next part of the quest.

The first time i got there i almost ragequit the game cause i fu… could not find out where the stories continues. I simply didnt notice that there are TWO portals now.

Not to mention when it was introduced it was so bugged, that this was where your character stopped!

Confirmed, it’s walky time atm. Every plateau could be some challenge. Perhaps the first with shades of the base class, then shades of each mastery (per plateau)?

I’ve long said we need real mastery quests. But I truly suspect the realm is a placeholder until they have resources to develop proper quest for each mastery.

I’d like to see maybe a shadow image of yourself with that mastery as a boss, that you have to defeat after choosing said mastery. And if you can defeat him in a certain amount of time, some type of item reward based on that mastery.
