Real-time clock in overlay map mode

Hello EHG team,

I wanted to ask about a small UI/QoL feature.

Right now, the real-time clock is available when using the minimap mode, but not when using the overlay map, unless I am missing something. It would be really nice to have the clock visible in overlay map mode as well.

Has this already been considered or planned? If so, that would be great to know. If not, is there a particular reason why the clock is not available there or why it might not be added?

It feels like a small change, but it would be quite helpful during gameplay, especially during longer play sessions.

I also searched the forum before posting and found two older threads about the same request(On-screen clock with overlay map and Clock display), but both of them are already closed, so I could not reply there and decided to create a new topic.

Thank you for your time.

You would think this would be an easy feature and small win but there probably other priorities from the backlog of stuff.

While that is certainly true, it’s also true that this is one of those things that is as low effort to do as it gets. They already have the code there (they show it in minimap mode, after all). They just need to change the UI for overlay map mode to also use that same component.

It’s not a 5 minute fix, but it’s not a week long one either.

Hello EHG team,

I just wanted to say a sincere thank you for adding this feature.

I noticed with the new Season that the real-time clock is now visible in overlay map mode, and I was genuinely excited to see it. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this addition - it genuinely means a lot to me and makes the experience feel more comfortable.

I also discovered another change that made me very happy: offline characters now keep their selected cosmetic items after restarting the game. This was something I have always been missing, so I was incredibly glad to see it added as well.

Both of these improvements have a meaningful impact on the moment-to-moment experience. Thank you for the care and attention you put into the game.

Really appreciated, and very happy to see these changes.

This was fixed early in Season 3, though. I’ve had my offline characters keep their cosmetics for a long time.

I had read forum posts about this issue before, and I also saw that it had supposedly been fixed. Unfortunately, in my case it kept reproducing anyway, and I checked it again after each patch from time to time.

Since it was not very important to me, I just did not make a post about it.

In any case, I’m very glad to see that it is working properly for me now as well.

There was an “unofficial” fix (announced by the devs in one of the patch notes replies and on discord, I think) for it at some point where you had to delete a local file and it would reset it and everything would work fine from then on. So it’s been “fixed” for some time.

It’s good that they fixed it properly now, because most people don’t even check the forums or discord to know about it.

Either way, enjoy your MTX.
