Current Behavior
When a party of players opens a monolith instance, all party members hit a loading screen which halts their current activity (forging an item, interacting with the stash, interacting with the settings menu overlay, etc.)
Desired Behavior/Suggestion
When a party of players opens a monolith instance, no loading screen would halt players’ current activity as listed above. This could be accomplished in several ways including:
- Making changes necessary to prevent the loading screen entirely (understandably has a potential to be a large lift and therefore unlikely to be implemented).
- Making changes necessary to save the player’s interface state prior to instance load and restoring it to their screen after the instance has loaded.
- Implement a ready-up system where players must mark themselves as ready before a monolith instance can be opened for the party. This could potentially be a configurable option in Social (H) > Party.
Reasoning
It can be aggravating to lose your progress/be interrupted when a player is in the middle of game activities such as:
- Managing inventory in the Stash
- Modifying an item in the Forge
- Configuring game settings
- Managing social/party settings
- Shopping at a vendor
- Collecting rewards following a completed monolith instance
- Reporting a bug
- Etc.
