While doing monoliths (currently doing lvl100s), I have found maybe 1 item with “mana gained on smite use”. I think I found more items with that affix while going through the campaign albeit they were low tiers. I have my filter to show all items with the mod (even t1) to stand out so I can see them clearly. Is the drop rate to get any t1 affix lower in high tier monoliths? Do items have a higher chance to drop higher tier affixes? If thats true, my concern is that since mana gained on smite use is so rare it’s increasingly hard to find a higher tier and the drop rate of lower tiers of the affix is greatly reduced in end game content.
I have almost 8k shards (which is probably very low compared to some other players) and maybe used a total of 2 mana gained on smite use shards while crafting. I’m okay with rare affixes but I feel the drop rate of the rare affixes on items should be raised a bit for lower tiers of those affixes. Thoughts on this?
Generally all class specific affixes are pretty rare.
Do you also have no other hide rules above the T1 show/recolor rule, that might hide certain base types or other items?
Generally you do get alot more “rare” stuff in high monolith, simpyl because you get more loot overall.
Not sure how much playtime you done in high MoF already, but it might be that you are just unlucky.
Maybe tomorrow you have 10 items dropping in one play session. RNG is RNG^^
Also in case you want shards, there is a blessing that increases the chance of getting shards for particular slots.
In your case “Increased Helmet Shard Drop Rate” from “The Last Ruin” Timeline.
I have a rule set at the top of my filter to highlight all items containing the mana on smite use affix no matter what tier it is, so it would be hard for me to miss.
According to steam I have about 70 hours. But that includes afk time as well as leveling a few other characters.
I have “class specific shard drop rate” equipped from that monolith at the moment. Maybe ill try to farm for the helmet one though.
I do generally have bad RNG in other games too haha so I wouldnt be surprised if it is just that. I just expected to be able to see more lower tiers of the rare affixes in the monoliths
Right, I agree, it’s okay to have rare affixes. I just figured I’d find more lower tiers of it in endgame than in the campaign. It’s probably just my RNG though haha
I have a bit more than 800 hours in the game and if I remember well, I found one only item with this affix. I was not even sure it still existed, till I found it!
