yesterday as i was leveling my beast master i noticed that 1 of my 4 wolf companions was running all the time far away and attacking mobs while my other 3 stayed with me.
It was like the 3 wolves were set on passive mode and these 1 on aggressive (use the term from other games with pet behavior).
When i tried to heal that wolf i saw that he had a different name
