I’ve found an exalted item that gives +11% crit chance for rampage. Does that also count for the cracking Assault node in the werebear form skill?
I mean, do the lightning strikes caused by that skill also get +11% crit chance when i use that item?
I assume you mean +11% melee crit chance, then no since the lightning isn’t melee. If you mean +11% increased crit chance then yes since % increased crit chance is global & isn’t restricted to a particular subset of skills (ie, melee, spells, etc).
It says literally “+11% critical chance with rampage”. Nothing about melee.

Yes, things like this will work with all sub-skills on the skill spec tree, that do not have their own skill spec tree.
If something has its own skill spec tree, this would not be affected.
The Primalist form skills are a bit different though, since they don’t have their own tree (so it should be inherited), but they do have nodes in the Form tree that affect them and they do go on your skill bar (so it shouldn’t be inherited).
It almost feels like Rampage is already a subskill and the lightning node is a sub-subskill…
So we assume it does give crit chance to the lightning strikes, i’m using the item anyway and i’m critting a lot with that skill. But it’s hard to tell if it crits more with it than without it.
So we’re not 100% sure yet, could one of the devs give us a definite answer plze?
I am very sure, at least that is how its intended to be.

It should be fairly obvious, going from a 5% (base) crit chance to a 16% crit chance, that’s over triple the crit chance.
Yes but i already do have a very high crit chance because of passives and other items, the difference is hard to see. I’m critting all the time.
I just tested it on the training dummies and i looks like i crit more with the item, but it’s really hard to tell.
