Questions about the factions

I apologize if my questions have been asked thousands of times before me. I’m still learning the game and its mechanics but I’m very excited about this game so far. So, before going further if there is an FAQ and/or guide to the factions please post a link and I’ll check it out. I checked the end game systems section of the website and there is nothing there about factions.

  1. Can I pick a different faction for each character (I’m playing softcore/normal/cycle/online and off-line)?
  2. Can I still use Merchant Guild for my off-line characters? If yes, how does that work?

  1. Yes, each character can join whatever faction they want. Just remember that leaving a faction resets all Favour shared on that factions.
  2. You can, but it’s just their vendor standing there, really. There is no realistic reason to go MG in Offline mode.
